The Elusive 2016 Releases (Which I totally intend to find)

2016 came and went in a whirlwind and despite reading 147 books there are so many titles that I just didn’t get to, but HAVE TO READ this year. I need more time to read. #bookwormproblem1

Most of these have been on my TBR for ages and I wanted needed them as soon as I saw them on Goodreads. #bookwormproblem2 These are the ones I am going to hunt down and capture.

I know there are far more than the 10 I should have. But don’t panic. Not unless you hear am muffled sound that may or may not be me buried alive by TBR. #bookwormproblem3. Then rush to save me (and bring apple pie).

  2. Jared

Harry Potter wasn’t that good. Take your time getting to it. Just know it wasn’t written by JK Rowling.
    Happy reading!

  3. Deborah @ Hills of Books

So many books I need to read!! The Girl from Everywhere is also still on my TBR, I have heard some good things and I love the sound of it from the synopsis!

  4. Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight

Thank you. Going to make sure I get to these soon. I have been waiting to find physical copies because most of these have beautiful covers, but for some reason they haven’t made it to South Africa yet. I’d order from BD but its also complicated because I travel between SA and Indonesia and they always seem to arrive just after I leave one or the other! #bookwormproblems

  5. Lory @ Emerald City Book Review

The Girl from Everywhere has been on my radar for a while. I’m not great at reading new releases so I may have to catch up with it in a year or two. Have fun with your list!

  6. Cait @ Paper Fury

Omgggggg so many beautiful books here!! *pets the pretty covers* I absolutely The Lost and Found, My Sister Rosa and the Girl from Everywhere! I totally recommend them! And I don’t understand how we can read so much every year and STILL be totally behind.? What is this life.

  7. Tracy @ Cornerfolds

Some of these are on my TBR too! I hope you like The Cursed Child more than I did…

Oh no, I have heard more negative than positive comments. The main reason I haven’t bought it because of the price. It’s almost double the price of other hardcovers and no sign of a paperback… I feel as though it’s just a money spinner.

  8. Kay @ The Desert Bibliophile

This Savage Song was probably one of my FAVORITE reads from last year, I freaking devoured it!

  9. Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction

The ones sitting on my shelf make me especially sad too. SO. MANY. BOOKS. 🙂

  10. Hannah @ Sprinkled With Words//hannahbanana

This is a great list! I really want to read a bunch of books you have here too, like The Girl from Everywhere and The Sun is Also a Star. I also really want to read My Sister Rosa but I’m a bit scaredy-cat, haha!

  11. Jane

I really enjoyed Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Check out my review when you’re done 🙂 I have always loved Harry Potter so I liked getting more in that world. Hope you enjoy it!

  12. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

So many good ones! I read Our Chemical Hearts in November I think it was and am still unsure what I think of it. Lots of conflicting feelings on that one and I still haven’t written a review. Walk the Edge… loved it. So much. Katie McGarry is my go-to author for YA contemporary. I’m actually reading Long Way Home right now and loving it.

P.S. Just received your friend request on GoodReads and that led me to your blog. 🙂

    Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

  13. Annemieke

The Girl from Everywhere I still need to get too, and I completely forgot to add This is Where it Ends on my list. 🙂

  14. Michelle @ Pink Polka Dot Books

Okay, there are SO many of my fave 2016 books on here!! This Adventure Ends was SO cute!! And I so needed a cute book that was more than just fluff. I also SUPER recommend With Malice and After the Woods. Both were very impressive mystery/thrillers– and I’m ALWAYS looking for good mystery/thrillers. Also, The Thousandth Floor super surprised me. I had heard it compared to Gossip Girl and I was worried– but it was very addicting and just plain GOOD!

I hope you get to read most of these– I know I still need to get to Our Chemical Hearts for sure.

  15. Greg

Our Chemical hearts and This Adventure Ends are both pretty new to me but they both sound great and I’m adding them to my TBR. Love that cover of Chemical Hearts!

  16. Rissi

I read ‘Thousandth Floor’ this year (it’s a very complex story for sure), and was once upon a time interested in ‘Girl from Everywhere’ before I forgot about it. *sigh* That’s yet another of those Bookworm Problems. 😉 I really want to read Katie McGarry’s latest series this year too – and since the third book just came out, now is as good a time as any to accomplish this!

    Thanks for visiting Finding Wonderland.

  17. Krystianna

I loved With Malice! I literally consider it a hidden gem of 2016. I wish more people read it! The Sun is Also a Star was really good too!
    Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
