In anticipation of Divergent - the Movie

I began jotting down my thought for this post a few days ago and the first line was “I can’t wait for this movie! Divergent by Veronica Roth is one of my favourite books.”

While I am still looking forward to this movie and I still love the series, I am glad it is more than a month away from release. I need the time to come to terms with the dramatic ending of Allegiant, the third book of the trilogy. I was totally blown away and am not sure I can see the characters from the beginning without the thought of the ending clouding the experience.

Enough said! I hate spoilers and for those of you who have not read Divergent yet – read it now before the movie is released on 21 March 2014. You may be in for wild experience, but I promise you, you won’t regret it! Be brave…

Divergent – the Movie is due for release on 21 March 2014.

  1. I haven’t read books 2 + 3 yet and after hearing all the uproar I’m not sure I want to. I am excited for the movie though! There was one scene in the book that kinda traumatized me so I’m hoping they’ll avoid it somehow in the movie otherwise I’m gonna be traumatized all over again, lol.

I loved the first book so much – I think that’s why I was so disappointed with the second two.

I loved Divergent so much that I obviously had high expectations for book 2 and 3 and they didn’t quite meet them, although I thought the 3rd book was better than the 2nd. I really didn’t like the series ending but it was definitely not predictable! Now that I am getting over the shock I am starting to feel better about the series – and I can’t stop thinking about the characters… Maybe that is a better way to rate a series??

      • It’s such a let down when you invest in a series and then they leave you with a stinky ending. I’m sure I’ll read them eventually just not anytime soon. Thanks for checking out my new blog =)
